July 19, 2010: L.I.G.H.T. of Southwest Florida, Inc. has received a generous grant from Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This grant is to assist breast cancer patients of Lee and Collier County. This year the grant was for $14,720.00. Thanks Susan G. Komen for the Cure! Together we can truly make a difference.
April 12, 2010: Mark your calendar for the Million Dollar Shootout, a charity golf tournament for LIGHT! Shotgun starts at 1:00 PM at Wildcat Run Golf & Country Club, with dinner to follow. December 12, 2009: Join us from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Alico Gulf Coast Town Center, between the Ron Jon Surf Shop and Bar Louie, for our Christmas boutique! Shop for arts, crafts, jewelry, and more. All proceeds go to the benefit of our cancer patients.
November 10, 2009: LIGHT will be preparing beautiful handmade Christmas cards, for sale in sets of 6 cards for a $10.00 donation. Please contact Sandy Zinschlag or Chick Accuso to see the cards. Phone and email addresses are available on our Contact page.
May 13, 2009: LIGHT is proud to announce the receipt of a $20,000.00 grant from the Susan G. Komen For The Cure organization! LIGHT was one of ten Southwest Florida charities to receive such a grant. We look forward to using these additional resources to continue our mission, and help local people manage the cost of their treatments!

May 3, 2009: Don't forget that May 3rd is also the date of our special dinner with Tracey Edwards, host of Fox Morning Blend! The dinner will be held at Wildcat Run Country Club, with a cash bar available for cocktails beginning at 6:00 PM, and dinner at 7:00 PM. March 28, 2009: LIGHT will have a table at Arts Estero 2009, at the Estero Community Park, between 11am and 4pm.
March 14 through May 2, 2009: LIGHT will participate in Charity Days with Belks department store at the Alico Town Center mall. Members of LIGHT will be on hand to sell tickets to the invitation-only sale at Belks on May 2nd. Ticket price is $5.00, which will go to help with cancer treatment, and the ticket may redeemed for $5.00 off your purchase at the May 2nd sale.

February 28, 2009: LIGHT will attend Celebrate Estero at the Miramar Factory Outlet Mall from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, selling bracelets and providing information about LIGHT and its mission.
February 15, 2009: Join us at Vapiano Restaurant, in the Gulf Coast Town Center mall at Alico Road and I-75, for Dine & Donate Night! From 4:00 to 9:00 PM, a portion of your check will be donated to LIGHT of Southwest Florida for cancer treatment. Special guest: Stuart Wisong, author of Angel Come Home: A Living Legacy.
February 8, 2009: LIGHT will attend the Vines Rally for a Cure. Bracelets will be sold, and information will be handed out at this double shotgun event between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
